With a vast array of products, promos, and key selling periods, Mitre 10 needed a retail platform to bring a much-needed layer of consistency to their retail comms across all channels.
Enter Talking Tools. A flexible, funny and efficient way to do retail, where the products literally sell themselves.
We were responsible for making monthly TVCs, socials and radio spots that moved products. And we made loads of them, so here are a few that hopefully make you giggle and perhaps jiggle.

Barbie Proactive
Remember the Barbie Movie? How could you not, you saw it 10 times. Anyway, when Barbie was coming out in June 2024, we decided to pitch Mitre 10 an opportunity to jump on the Barbie (Dreamcar) bandwagon. Since Mitre 10 were the Other Hardware Store, we decided to remind Aussie of the other Barbie they love. The one exclusively sold at Mitre 10.
So we showed up in the same places as the actual Barbie promotional materials in the real and digital world.
NRL Try or No Try
The 2025 NRL season saw Mitre 10 sponsor the TRY or NO TRY screen. So we made a few silent boards that looked pretty nice on TV and built enough suspense that I saw a guy in a pub fumble his pint across a table.
Coincidence? Perhaps, but Iām taking credit for it.
